Hi All,
there is a new
Aiptek AHD- C100 720p HD camcorder with HDMI output.

http://www.aiptek.eu/index.php?optio...amp;Itemid=281

It is only 720p at 30 frames/sec,
so it is an updated AHD-200 model
or just a rebranded Jazz model...

Looking forward to see some demo footage.

Regards, Stefan.

Hey hartiberlin,

It's in the "Hybrid Camera List". I don't think it's either a updated AHD200(tht's the AHD300+) or rebranded Jazz. I think it's a new model with limited functions and therefore the low price as u mention.

I'm all for a reduced cost version since 720p is enough for most users and low cost would make it an ideal beach camera.

I could only find one brief user review here http://www.evendi.de/preisvergleich/...st/181452.html
The reviewer says that the camera is ok for the price, but he had a problem: when he attaches the camera on his motor bike, the sd slot looses the sd...so he sent the camera back in rma to see whether it was a defect or it s so for all the C100.

I would like to know,
if the video quality played back via the HDMI output is significantly better than the
YUV outputs ?

Maybe they will also soon have an AHD +plus (AHD-300) with
HDMI output ?

But how many LCD TV sets are compatible with 720p in 60 frames/sec ?

Also how do you edit 60 frames/sec and then output at 30 frames/sec ,
cause it is the standard ?

Is there any nonlinear editing software, that has built in
inter frame interpolation, so it makes sense to use at all 60 frames/sec
for editing ?
