Well, my friend Rob crashed his Honda CBR 600rr sportbike on the brakes coming into Turn 1 at Virginia International Raceway North-Course the other day. He dislocated his shoulder, but they popped it back in and he's just fine. Even drove himself home.

MyVuPoint DV-DA1-VPwith external helmetcamera.com560 line bullet camera was mounted on his bike! D'oh.

... and they survived.

The video plays through once at normal speed, then in slow-motion. In the slow-mo, you can see Rob's body fly past.

Not bad for an $86 refurbished unit.

Some Pix:

The VuPiont was in this small steel case velcro'ed to the back of the bike ... It took a direct hit. Case destroyed ... unit intact and still working fine.

I dunno Fishy. When that stuff happens, it all goes down so quick that two seconds ago something happened that made what is happening inevitable. LOL. You just can't think that fast.

Yeah, Rob is fine. Just sore.

His bike, however ... not so much.

Looks like he went in much too hot and locked the rear brake. I like the last few seconds. That's what we call in motorcycleracing the"sky-ground, sky-ground, oh-my-god, sky-ground, sky-ground" maneuver.
