I saw a discussion of this on a previous thread. As far as I could tell it is connected to, but not the same as rolling shutter.

I was hoping to clear this up a bit. (And clear up my video) :)

I have a HF-10 and don't like the motion blur when I pan. I am taking video of gardens. And I pan around the garden exclusively. Even with a slow pan, all the detail is lost and the plants I wish to see are blurry.

Can any of you experts tell me how best to mitigate what I understand to be an inherent weakness in this regard with these types of cameras. Would another type of camera be better for my purposes?

If anyone is still reading, I take this footage, and compress and convert it to HD flash video, for HD full screen (720p, 1080i) web streaming.
