I guess I'll stick to the idea of buying a second Aiptek Action HD.

Took the one I already own out yesterday and it worked like a charm.

Greetings:

I am going throw a Hail Mary attempt at how a Camcorder with a Mic input connection may be possible.

I've been participating in this forum for some months now and the expertise and feedbacks on improving camcorders are beyond the word professionalism.

So here is my idea:

1) find an empty plastic camcorder shell.

2) use FishyComics(or other members) Electronic Expertise to rigup a Camcorder
PC board, with features that we the members of this forum like the most,
example:Mic Input connection,Option to turn off Auto focus, any others?

3) document the whole procedure with pictures and electronic diagrams.

4) Once a prototype is finished and working, and everyone agrees that this is the
best camcorder we put together, find an Asian Camcorder Manufacture to
produce more,I have Contacts in Montreal and China who can help.
Maybe others have more Contacts and other ways to help out.

5) Finally enjoy creating video with camcorder we the members of this forum
built together.

6) What shall we name this camcorder: FishyCam, Steve's Community Cam,
DigiCommunityCam, UnityCam, etc.

Are there any Receivers in the TouchDown Zone that agree with this Hail Mary
attempt.

Regards Robert

Interesting idea.

I've shot my budget for this year, however.

Just ordered another Action HD.

This is being released this week in Australia. For fear of being accused of advertising I will let you find the distributor yourself if you are interested.
