when you load some clips I am sure we would like to know how the Auto focus will hold up so I guess a test for that is in need

i understand this is camcorder based model and not a hybrid type, but hey it's the lowest priced hi def of DXG and that i am sure will win most over

Quicktime on my computer is reporting the short clip I uploaded is 1920x1080. I would like to upload a longer clip but that will have to wait till I get home.

Rather than a capit has a built in iris that closes over the lens with a button to manually open and close it. Yes you can use the optical zoom while in 1080P I was using it in that video but you can not use EIS in 1080P. That clip should be 1920 x 1080 that I uploaded. It can't really fit in a pocket except maybe a large pocket in a coat.
Thanks! Iris is great!
GSpot shows that the clip is 1440x1280, but pixels are not square, SAR = 1.333. Recommended Display Size is 1920x1080 (1920 = 1440 * 1.333).

Bad news, it does lower the sound level a lot when zooming. Here are two clips for you all.

1080P Street Scene:

720P Map Zoom (can see AF issues and hear sound mute):

I just got the camera! I'm going to return my Aiptek Action HD. The construction of the camera is wonderful. 720P with EIS turned on works surprisingly very well. Will post some HD clips once Vimeo is fixed.

What is everyone using to play these files? My computer has trouble with them in Quicktime and Windows Media Player and my computer is not slow by any standard.

I'm using VLC. With regards to the audio issue during zoom, I put in a support ticket with DXG. Hopefully, a firmware release can solve this issue. I would rather hear the sound of the motor than nothing. Please submit a ticket as well to get this issue solved asap.

Using VLC and try to downsize the image to 1/2. It should help with the choppiness. I downloaded your videos and they were fine on my system. Have you tried to install the software codec that same with the camcorder? Try it out it helps a little. Worst case you can upload your footage to Vimeo (not sure if they are still down).
