Can someone tell me what the firmware update changes for the DXG-595v or give me a link? Sorry I can't look through the thread, don't have much "free time".

The firmware removes the noise gate that mutes the sound when you zoom. It also slows down the zoom to reduce the noise made by the zoom motor.

A bit off topic:
Does anyone know where I can buy the Nujitsu camcorder I found in my last post?

Just checked out the Nujitsu model dude, and it is identical to the DXG, and it DOESNT have the HDMI connection, just a component. It states in the detailed description of the camera. I think they just meant that it has a HD output, bit misleading though to say the least!

Yes I forgot to say the same - it says "HDMI TV Output" but I believe it is one of those things lost in translation deals - they must have thought HD and HDMI were interchangeable.

I doubt they will update this model for a long time as I think it might be selling better than you would expect from a "no-name brand" electronic product.

I been trying to convert my videos using this camera to mp4 with no luck. I've also tried wmv and avi. Is this a problem with the camcorder or the software I'm using (ImToo MPEG encoder)?

EDIT:
Another HDV-D9 rebrand:

The page states that it has HDMI output
Richard,

There's at least one or more budget priced modelsout therethat does have anHDMI output, here's one called the "Digilife DDV Z530" which I think you'll find is also known as the Toshiba Camileo H10

http://www.milkhoneyland.com/digilif...er-p-2352.html

If you click on "Digital Camcorders" on the left, you'll also see yet another branding of the venerable 595v

Have any of these cameras ever been traced back to an actual manufacturer? Or are they just dropped here from another planet?

If your a Linux User then DVD/CD Video Creator works just fine ( as usual its an easy no charge download from your distribution repository ) It allows you to add your choice of cam mov files to a list, and then converts them to Mpg files , and then if you wish to an DVD ISO file, so you can create DVD disks, viewable on any DVD player.

Hello, from Burlingandmending, new member. We have in Australia a online
seller which is selling:
KOGAN FULL HD 1080P VIDEO CAMCORDER Camera
It looks like the DXG-595V video camera! You did a good review of this product.

Thanks for all the useful information on your post etc, because I am new to video.
I tried to click on the links to the pics and video but could not open.
The message said the content was removed , was not acceptable.

Thanks from Burlingandmending.
