Is it possible to flash this camera firmware from DXG (DVH 596)? In the service menu - FW: DVH586-V1.14_3.2V, DATE: 2009-09-21, UI: OSD Table V16 0511.

The quality of video in the room is VERY-VERY poor. Very noisy and with strips, AF works bad
I read a few pages on this forum, someone has the same camera. But I do not understand, can I upgrade firmware.

Thanks very much.

Also my camera called "HD10".

Since then no one knows, I decided to try. I downloaded the firmware from DXG USA and did all the instructions. The camera no longer starts There are no any errors during the firmware.

Does anyone have any ideas how to restore the camera?
Is there some kind of service function to restore the standard firmware?

After connecting the USB nothing happens.

Thanks.

I do not own but from my expierience, I would contact the company. tell tehm that you followed their advice (not someone giving etc) and you'll have a new cam reflashed.

Maybe my camera wasn't by DGX, so that firmware isn't work. Send camcorder to China in online store will be very difficult
For shipping I need pay half cost of camcorder...

Thank you.

Where on the DXG site did you find the firmware upgrade? I've been to their download page a number of times (including a few minutes ago) and I can't find it in the list of drivers.

Wish I could help you on the reset for your camera, I'd bet someone here will have an answer for you.

Regards,
Neil

Here: http://www.dxgusa.com/downloads
on the bottom of the page

"DXG-595V Firmware Upgrade Instructions" - FW + Manual. But only for 595V.

Also there are FW for DXG DSC31 (digital camera) on http://www.dxgtech.com/driver.php?paraFocus=310x300

Good luck

I must be too dense to use the Internet!
When I open that zip file there's just two files, one with the instructions in .doc format and one called "SD.RAR"

I can't find "dvh596.bin" at all.

I'm sure I'll be saying "D'oh" when I finally get it pointed out to me!

if you do not have a zip program likewinzip go tp 7-zip.org I believe if not ,net.come etc. and unzip it then you will have the .bin

If you load the rar to the cam you'll crash the cam, if you load both .rar. anddoc
