OK, I just got an unexpected break, which gave me time to do the test.

BINGO.

I was able to import the 640 x 480, 48khz, 16-bit, (Correction: .MP4 extension) MPEG-4 file recorded by a Sanyo VPC-CG6 without any problems! This is standard MPEG-4 and not H.264.

(I knew it was going to be a successful test.) :G
I was going to say that the difference between the CG6 and the CG65 (which I have) is that the CG65 uses H.264 and the CG6 does not. Looks like I'm going to have to upload a sample.

The reason I asked for the regular mpeg4 is that is what my Sanyo C40 uses.

In my purchased version, I had to click HELP > ACTIVATE ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS > ACTIVATE MPEG-4.

Then you'll see a menu with a button that you click to send a request to the Magix server.

The Magix server will then send an e-mail to you.

You then click the link in the e-mail and PRESTO!

I'm working late tonight so my test with the Sanyo VPC-CG6 may have to wait until tomorrow morning. I'll try to do it tonight, but work may go later than usual.

I'm sure it will work. Thanks for your patience. I'll post the results by tonight or tomorrow.
Out of interest, if you buy the boxed version, do you still have to activate the mpeg4 license when you install?

Yes, even if you buy the boxed version, you have to ACTIVATE the MPEG-4 functionality.

But it's FREE.

Yes, the codecs are included, but -- to use them -- you need to...

1. Open MAGIX MOVIE EDIT PRO 14 PLUS
2. Click HELP > ACTIVATE ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS.
3. Click ACTIVATE MPEG-2.
4. Click ACTIVATE MPEG-4.
5. Click ACTIVATE DOLBY DIGITAL STEREO DECODER

Then you will see a pop-up menu that allows you to click a button that sends a request for activation to the Magix server.

Then you will receive an activation code in your e-mail.

You then apply the code into the pop-up menu to ACTIVATE each of the above functions.

THESE ARE ALL FREE.

The only feature that requires payment is the ACTIVATE DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1 CODEC. That costs $10.

Thought I put a short clip together, everyday I am a different spot. so i just tossed these in and got something nice. a relaxing song to go with it.

magix 1 12P has it to.

when I edited this I could notsee the trans working so one did not come out. it must have been behind thevideo LOL if it was a trans or effect called falling roses.

if one has a plan then it will come out perfect sometimes just tossing it in will do the same . so enjoy when its converted
