I found a listing for the Action HD GVS at Amazon that I haven't seen posted anywhere. Sure looks like the real thing. Are all of the technical specs correct? I'm new to these cameras, so I have a hard time just glancing it over.

On the German website it says 3x while on amazon.com it says 5x, so who is right? Perhaps adalfa who currently has one of these could let us out of our misery...

The fact it is now on Amazon certainly verifies it is about to ship and that it will be called the Action HD GVS.

Very interesting.

If we all manage to survive the economy, we might actually be able to buy one. :G

GVS = "Gyroscopic Video Stabilization"

I'd be really surprised if this actually uses gyroscopes when there are cheap solid state motion sensors available. Unless they are using several gyroscopes to actually stabilize the camera... I doubt it.

They claim:

"...Features Superior GYROSCOPIC STABILIZATION for unmatched stability while recording video..."

I wonder what this actually means.
