I'm in the UK and can't buy the jazz 178 here...I do have family in the U.S that would pop down to wallmart for me, but I'd be up the creek if anything went wrong with it.

Can you tell me the Vivitar model that is the jazz 178 equivalant please.

thanks

If I buy a 178 from the US, does anyone know if the charger supplied will work in the UK if I put a 3 pin socket adapter on the charger.

Are there any voltage issues. UK voltage is 240v

Is that to change the 2 pin plug into a UK 3 pin plug or is it to change the voltage.

Thanks fishy. I have only just realised that the USA is 110v ithought it was 220 and nearer our own.

Can you look at the above speck list for me please....they look identical, the only difference I can see between the 188 and the vivitar 565HD is that the vivtar only supports 4GB SD and the !88 can handle an 8 gb card.

This is the vivitar 565HD

the jazz 188 is the same as the vivitar. 4 or 8 gig I am sure you can double they cover their end by just saying that 4 or 8 is a limit.

this cam in the North America sellsfor 99.99 the 188 sells for 149.99

which one do you preferre?

both will do the exact same thing if asked.

220 vdc overseas you need that converter and the ac adapter must be of tthat company reason it charges the unit no other will.

you are good no matter what choice i do not like the hold of this model but the 178
