the GO-HD or A-HD, were the starters of the Hi def, the cmos to me is a lil better .

the sound louder on the orginal 1.2 fw and noiser with gear on the AF

they improved the issues 1.3,4,5 and got the best results with 1.6, after 1.6 they corrected and peaked the camera overboard with 2.2 causing lower sound, grainer shots for lower level.

Audio recording will be just the sound recorder. there will be mono only, and the Newer version mostly the same.

No difference on the features in sound on either cams sound recorder.

If the price is right on the GO-HD-A-HD+ 100.00 I find myself another Action HD

we know there are steal of a deals on Ebay, and why not have the extra added res sizes.

I have the older versions and I find editing the newer ver are better, while the older give a little more time.

no matter what my 2 cents. the GO is a good deal only New at 100.00

It will be interesting to compare the older "GO-HD" model with my newer "Action HD" model. I wanted a second "Action HD" a couple of months ago, but after going to Wal-Mart and buying it, I discovered its audio recording was not functional so I returned it. Perhaps this little "GO-HD" model will suffice. If they've fixed the audio with new firmware, then all I really need is the 720/30p as a backup.

They must be selling the refurbished models; there are only three (3) remaining on the Aiptek Web site as of the time of this post. :G

My refurbished "GO" arrived! It looks brand new. Came in a nice, blue box. It's charging right now. Can't wait to test it.

Can't find a single problem with it.

Still, I'll do some more testing tomorrow when it's light outside and when I can do more audio recording.

Fishy, you're right... the low-light of the "GO" seems better than the "Action."

I'm pretty happy with it, so far.

The label on the side of the camcorder says "GO-HD+." I didn't know they offered a "Plus" version.

I've spoken into the microphone and played it back on my Mac and it sounds OK.

I think the only downside here is the auto-focus mechanism seems a little more sluggish than on the "Action HD" model.

Still, for $99, not bad at all. :-)
