Has anyone attempted to switch out the lens of the A-HD+ for one of the 'board lens' wide lens's ?
That way the A-HD would have a wide view and still be the same size.
These are available from ebay sellers for about $20 USD .

I have a sunpak, but I'd rather widen the lens in a more compact fashion.

I'm not talking about the board cams on ebay. I'm talking about a lens for one.
I don't like to post ebay links, as they expire rather fast, but just search for "wide board camera lens" or similar search.
I saw this type of lens in a local store, it looked like a high quality glass lens.
The front element was about 1 cm across, for example. Not a pin hole by any means.
The from element of the A-HD is what, about 2mm across, now that is dubious at best, but it does a pretty good job anyways.

Fishy, I know about the add on lens, as I said I have a sunpak as well. I don't want that clunky add on lens on the front, if I can help it. The stuff I'm talking about would fit in the existing hood.

My post regarding a dead aiptek is all about that. If you can wait i will be able to send some picture over here. I'va already 3.5, 4.5, 6 and 8mm lens. I buy them to use in my first experiment, but now i'm turning to put directly a c-mount lens. or a old 16mm lens from cine camera. Capsulx have some video shoot already of what i talk. I will be able to send that on the 20 december.. not much before.

And also, just to having a bigger apperture.. it will be for sure better than having only a small pinhole lens. Just about the size.

A+

Good to hear. Are there any sample vids posted with these lens's ?
I would guess you would get maybe 1 extra stop of light to the sensor , that's great !
Did you figure the standard lens is 6.7mm ?
