I have been attempting to use a 2 GB card in the DXG-506V for recording a long video. In my application, I want to start recording and have it continue recording until the card is full. The camera stops recording after about 1 GB and I have to remove the battery to regain control of the camera.
In another experiment, I have been able to record on to a 1 GB card and fill it. Any ideas on why I can't record past 1 GB on a 2 GB card?

Thanks,

Joe

Hey Joe,

I'm guessing your card is formated with FAT file system. Only FAT32 and NTFS file sistems support bigger file sizes

Then, maybe your camera only supports FAT, not allowing you to have >1Gb files.

Good call! When I reviewed my hard drive, the properties of the drive say NTFS. When I reviewed the SD card which was formatted/set up by the camera, it said FAT.

Thanks!
