Hi guys,

Low-cost german electronic company ODYS released what I believe is the world's slimmest hybrid camera. It's called the MDV-Slim HD81i and is a 720p hybrid with the usual 5MP CMOS sensor. To mention some of the features are webcam function, mp3 player, motion detection, mass storage and so on. Check below link for specs. The measurements are: 100 x 57 x 17,9 mm. Just a measly 17,9mm thick which should fit most pants pockets without bulging too much:G. But I guess there are downsides with being so slim regarding the lens. Small in size and a F value that's on the low side, so this might not be the best for shooting indoor.

On Odys' homepage there's a "Where to buy from"link and sadly it's only available through european shops/netshops. I don't know for sure, but I don't think they ship to north america or for that sake worldwide. Also it's price is imo high but it's newly released camera so it's understandable. I think around 92 euros.

92 euros is expensive compared to the current american dollar

Looks like a variant of the same design as my Jazz HDV178 only thinner.
