Ok, with the focus lock. Does it just lock the focusing motors or is it a manual focus with stepping? Also, with that enabled does the zooming function still work?

I'm really stumped should I get the gvs or should I splurge and go for the sanyo 1010 since the price has lowered on it. Any advice would be helpful.

I asked the same question about the Locked focus.

Auto focus is like the Action HD 1080p we have no control at all. we can zoom in, and out only, will hunt for finer focus.

go into control or setting choose Focus lock, then record. no longerallowe zoom in out.

or move Joystick to opposing side to lock. before recording.

I wonder if it is like the Electronic macro, only by Mouse? Suprize no one asked how to turn macro on/off besides mouse on the Action:G

mouse buttons are flash, macro, WB, and led on the action

they may have combined the led and flash together, or macro infinity.

Until a Z600 user or new GVS owner comes foward..... wehave to wait longer

I was just looking at the z600 and the gvs and notice the z600 is listed with 3x optical zoom and the gvs has 5x optical zoom.

If the gvs does have 5x O-zoom and focus lock this might be my next camera.

Seriously, why can't Aiptek make is so that you can enable the focus lock and/or macro mode DURING recording? Does it go against some law of quantam physics or something? Just doesn't occur to me why this is so impossible for them.

walgreens proccesses your payment takes a fewdays they will ship out, from california, and that is 2fedeility or Aiptek.inc returns lost shipping of 6.99 returns are within a date and must have full reciept and box otherwise no return.

AF lock, macro while rec: and morecontrol features etc. we oops I hear ya.

a combo button must be made, once Aiptek does that there will be no complaints from anyone ,but how do I load video to youtube?

the A-HD and plus has a manual switch, I preferre a electronic , due to always hitting the switch in pocket. forced to bypass.

if and when the GVS is out I am sure to say wow this is the A_HD body and bulkier in ways.

a lot can besaid, done etc lets see what hap's
