Here's another product-specific link:

Hey, it comes with a REMOTE CONTROL, according to this Web site and the photo even looks like it might have an external microphone input, although there's no mention of that in the specifications.

There's no Aldi store nearby, has anyone been able to find this particular camera as a mail order item?

Seems like Aldi's is missing a bet by not allowing online orders.

Good catch by Private Idaho, a mic input is just what a lot of these little cheapie cams need!

Hello, I saw this camera at Aldi and am trying to find out about it. Could someone tell me what this means (newb question) "comes with a video sensor vs. a photo sensor as in a standard digital camera"? Thanks!

Hi,

It's an unfortunate translation error -there's no difference between the two kinds of sensors. Go get this camera - it's really excellent value for money.

Kind regards,

Traveler HD 10XI.

I found some test clips of this newer version(I think) from a danish tech board. What is newer or changed is that it does 1440x1080 30p. I don't have the specs on this model cuz I can't find it on the net. The user who bought it from Aldi back in May complains about the slow focus. The autofocus has cannot focus fast enough when you're zooming in on an object. Well check out the test clips and judge for yourself.

The video clips are straight off the camera and therefore not edited.

Default traveler 10xi

Has anyone found the traveler 10xi on sale? The body of the 10x seems the same as the Digilife HV5, now discontinued, but I can't see any references to the 10x. The digilife H20 body, with 5x zoom, seems the same as the Toshiba H20 and the new Fast HDT, which is full 1980x1020, can't understand why nobody has put the 10x zoom with full 1080p - has anyone seen such a spec?
