I ordered a GOHD from bhphoto for $99 and I got a newer model GOHD+ Is this an entirely new model? I notice the following difference from the gohd:

It doesnt have the audio issues.
Only 1 battery,
Supports up to 32gb cards.
8 megapixel for camera.
Comes with a remote.

Anybody else know anything more about this model?

It's a good little camera.

I bought a refurbished one from Aiptek and it works as well as one can expect for a low-cost hybrid.

The audio isn't great, but it isn't horrible either.

To check my firmware, I pressed the upper left button on the flip-out screen while simultaneously pressing the MODE button and the firmware was V1.302.

The noise is also apparent here, if you're talking about low-light recording.

I don't see a big problem with regular outside stuff in the daylight.

oopsypoopsy04, it seems to me not more noisy than low light samples from other hybrids.
My video for example, GO-HD+ from B&H too: http://vimeo.com/2828880

BTW, anybody knows what Ambarella chip model used in this cam? Is it theoretically possible to software upgrade it to 1080p? If A2 chip inside, which capable of encoding 1080i - it is impossible. If A3 - may be:
The Ambarella A3 platform is a solution supporting both the 1080i format (A350) and 1080p (A380) as well as hybrid cameras.

A quick clip and a screen capture of the noise in a black frame.

What is the latest firmware for the gohd+
var fo = new FlashObject("gui/ar_r.swf", "", "30", "10", 0, "#ffffff"); fo.addParam("wmode", "transparent"); fo.write();
