Anybody care to comment on Toshiba's new Camileo offerings (P30 and H20), esp. with reference to Aiptek's Z700/GVS? Any major features that the P30 has and the Z700 doesn't? How about quality-wise? Should we expect the P30 to be better only because it's branded "Toshiba"?

Interestingly enough, the P30 sells for 30 Euros cheaper than the Z700/GVS.:O

That's just it! Toshiba is not the OEM(Original Equipment Manufacturer) of this hybrid camera. It's just branded with their name. This exact hybrid(the P30) is to be release under other brands as well. The video quality from the P30 that I've seen is not much different from the Z700. It does however suffer from nasty "Rolling Shutter" and slow autofocus. The Z700 has imo better autofocus and not that visible RS.

Although I'm putting down the P30, it could still be a good camera, as none here has really tested it out. One member whose nick I forgot, has it, but have only posted a couple of clips. Try searching through earlier post. Also try Toshiba's own site if you didn't already.

That could be something fixable via firmware. What is important is lens qualityand general hardware build quality. I'd like to hear from someone about these.

Off topic: any opinions on JVC's Everio X (http://everiox.jvc.com/specifications.html)?:-)
