Hi,

I've got (and not used much) a Panny NV-DS27 (MiniDV), but I've been looking to buy a memory card based camcorder as it's much more convenient to transfer and use the footage.

I have been looking at several models but the important thing for me would be having good image quality. Hence I've been looking at HD models.

These are the models I've had an eye on:

Toshiba Camileo H20
Toshiba Camileo P30 (but cannot find much on this- not out yet?)
Sanyo Xacti HD700
Sanyo Xacti CG65
Panasonic SDR S7

Also read the Exilim EX-V7 does nice videos.

I have an afternoon wedding coming up at the end of this month which I would love to use the camcorder at, but after this it would be general usage when holidaying or family/friends usage.

Any advice and suggestions much appreciated!

Disappointed with absolutely no suggestions from these forums.

Anyhow, I bought a HD camcorder earlier this week.

My guess is the reason why nobody answer the question is that its to broad of a range. You listed 5 different cameras In that group of cameras, there are two different body styles, plus all kinds of difference between these cameras when it comes to specs. and features. Some of these cameras shoot video in HD, some don't. Some shoot video at 60 fps and some don't. See my point. You did not ask for the difference beteentwo differentHD cameras. Plus some of the models you listed are either out dated or not even been released into "all" markets yet. With all the question out there been ask and only a few that can answer its had to answer a question like this. Plusmost of these cameras have already been talk about, some the info is already here for you to readon this website. I'm sorry that nobody answer your question. In my quick "opinion" with out going into details theSanyo Xacti HD700 would have been your best pick.
