welcome aboard , in your profile you can place this in your location. at least we know where you're from that's a start.

I am sure others who are in the region, can say the travler cloned to the Jazz 178.

or digilife. lowest budget will do the trick, if a Bestbuy has reached you that be the Insignia as well

let others comment on this thanks

Fishy is right on target... the JAZZ HDV178 (and it's re-branded bretheren) is the price point leader, and if the 4.9 oz. is too much for your plane, the camera can be stripped of it's case and LCD screen to cut the weight to only 2.4 oz.

Yeah the Jazz HDV178 is one of the smallest, lightest and cheapest 720p camera. The european equivalent would be the Jay-Tech Videoshot DVH24 and Aldi's Traveller DV5000(not sure I got the name right). Also consider the new Toshiba Camileo S10, which does 1080p and weighs 120g. The Technaxx C8100HD is also a small lightweight hybrid but I don't know how it performs.

I've bought all of my hybrid cameras from Germany, it's cheaper and there is a broader selection of cameras then rest of europe. Many chinese companies have their european headquarters in Germany.
