I was in Mexico yesterday snapping photos and taking video with my Jazz HDV178. I thought I had stood still when I took this one, but I guess I must've move a little too early and this is the classic hilarious effect you get because of the rolling shutter

Excellent example for rule number 1: Don't pan too fast with CMOS camera

The thing is I wasn't panning and took this as a still shot. I was walking and obviously didn't stay still quite long enough before I moved around to face where I was going with the effect that the camera hadn't quite had enough time to scan the image. I was too busy enjoying the park with friends and not paying enough attention to my photography

I find that when I want to do this on purpose it actually takes some effort to get a shot like this. You have to time it just right when you move the camera if you want it of the subject you actually intended LOL

There's nothing wrong with the camera. It must just be that the trees are bent. And the fence and the sign. :G

Yeah you got me, I was on a hill :blah: The reason everything else appears to be slightly bent is that it was obviously built by someone who'd had a little too much Mexican Beer at the time
