Default Vertical Mitodigital D-5 Full HD 1080p & offer

Re-edit: There has been a mistake in the datasheet, it has 720p30 not 720p60, sorry.

Re-edit: I should have mentioned, it is small for a 1080p vertical camera (measurements int he datasheet below).

I have been spending some time communicating with mitodigital about their D5 lately, that I spotted being sold on ebay late last year and have got some details and they have made an offer to users of the forum. My contact was Anders through info (at) mitodigital . com

They say:
Quote:
Yes, on the data sheet, the HD 720P (60fps), HD 1080P (30fps) should be on the Movie Clips row. 1080p is 30fps max. and data rate is 7.85Mb/s per our sample clips.

We have no official distributor in Australia or USA. If you are
interested in this model, you could buy from us directly. Please check retail price list attached. Payment by PayPal. We would offer free shipping (to Australia and USA) by EMS as a special discount for your forum members.

Thanks
Mito indicates that it is the same as the DXG DVV-581 but on the DXG site that does not do 720p60 that the D5 indicates it does. I am contacting them again to verify it does 720p60. They say 581 clips should indicate the quality of the D5 (has anybody seen any). Don't assume it has 720p60 yet it may or may not be a different version of the camera. I want to also verify again that it does fullhd record. It is not the most spectacular camera, but it does 1080p/720p pistol grip in your pocket.

I should also point out it has no remote.

Here it is on ebay:

Well, it's dirt cheap! That must be said .
What kind of special offer are we talking about and how about a little distribution center (me!) over here in Europe?

The free freight mentioned in the quote above (for USA and Australia) you would have to contact Anders through the info mail address quoted above to find out about Europe. I am surprised not more people are coming through at the moment, but maybe on the weekend. It is just a shame that we are probably the only Hybrid community with such significant numbers of people on the web (through I think there is one German or French community that has an active forum).

I originally thought of contacting Steve about starting up a Digital Still Filming forum (for filming on all digital cameras) once I got my cameras and experience level up, and am still thinking about contacting manufacturers about this hybrid forum so they can post links (but very intermediary level of experience here) and people know of a central place to go.

Whoops, I missed that, there is significant discounts in quantity of 50 or more, I scrubbed them off the price list as users do not have overheads and handle warranty (which you should inquire about for your margins). Contact them for the original.

I have just found out that there is an error in the datasheet, and it has 720p30 not p60, a disappointment, but many prefer the full HD (1920x1080)p30 mode anyway and still the camera is nice.

So, there is no takers? i was hoping somebody might be interested.

Unfortunately, I wanted to buy this because it was supposed to be 60fps and smaller then it turns out (it is a bit smaller then my HSHD, which also looked smaller on line) but the camera is 30fps.
