Default Action-HD GVS 1080P (V5Z5S) won't stay on

My Action-HD GVS 1080P (V5Z5S) worked fine at first, but after having it put away for awhile it won't power on now. If I hold down (and continue to hold) the power button it stays on, but I have to keep holding it. How do I make the power button work again, so I just have to press it and it will stay one? The light on top is sometimes green, and sometime red.

Any ideas? Anyone else have this problem with their GVS?

Thanks

HAve you contacted, and of course I am sure you did, Aiptek?

in the cam there is not just one lithium battery, but two, possably the cam sat to long, and a recharge of the battery np-60, and then allow the cam to sit wit hte usb pluged in, if in the off for awhile, as well in the on to.. otherwise I have no clue. not stumped just probably answered it in this post LOL

I did contact them, but they had little clue and gave me an RMA.I'm trying to figure out a way to fix it without having to pay to send it back to them.

I am sure you are covered under a warranty, tehy should send a prepaid label. and send back fixed. I understand you want it fixed, or think it is something you can do on your own, I am sure the Lithium battery is defective, if the cam cannot turn on by the manual on/off, then I send back.

Guess the cam is older then the return policy, I wonder if you purchased within a reasonable time you could have exchanged. what is better paying 10.00 or 200 plus. your decision.

I ended up mailing it back, though when I mentioned using this forum the tech got snippy with me. It's been my experience that I get more out of asking for fixes from forums than I do from tech support.
