Default The next 1920 X 1080 Pocket Camcorder

Greetings:

We are in July 2009, even though I'm very happy with my Aiptek Action HD, the first in Canada, who will be the first manufacture to bring out
a full 1920 X 1080 pocket camcorder.

At present there two camcorders that are pocketable and record in
1920 X 1080:

1) Sony HDR-TG1: pocketable, but a little pricey at about $600US.
2) DXG-581V: very economical, but no optical zoom.
3) Sanyo HD-2000: not pocketable, not in this category.

So there you are who will be the next manufacture to bring out a
pocketable full HD camcorder?

My prediction goes to Digilife first, and then Aiptek.

What are your predictions?

Regards Robert

This one claims to be 1080P although not sure if it is full 1080P http://www.amazon.com/RCA-EZ409HD-Sm.../dp/B001RIYOBK

Also claims 60fps, although I don't know if that is in 1080P or 720P or a lower resolution, description is vague.

Greetings HDFan23:

That is a great find the RCA EZ409HD, thanks.

I think we can add this one to list.

But I can't find information if it has a digital zoom or optical.
My guess is a digital zoom.

Any others find other pocketable camcorders at 1920 X 1080?

While the RCA website doesn't list the RCA EZ409HD, they do list the older RCA EZ209HD 720p model:

http://www.rcaaudiovideo.com/product.aspx?product=418

Yet the manual is very sparse and just mentions zoom. Not even whether it's 2x or 4x etc! No spec listing whatsoever. This says to me that it's a digital zoom as it's something I am sure they would've mentioned as an advantage over the Flip ultra HD competitor and the newer 1080p has the same lens design.
