Welcome Aboard Stgr
i do not speak for Aiptek, nor can say how many times a Auto-response is needed. take a number and be a paitient person (smiles)

The sportycam is avideo cam it takes [email protected] and a video in 3.5 plug.

By plugging in the sportycam to the Aiptek dv8800 to the earpeice top one exposed not behind the cover and lower. Should trigger the cam to go to av out av in earpeice. choose av input and then hit record.

Yes that should be as easy as said. but i am sure you are and had tried that correct?

I cannot offer anymor help but that i do appologise for Aiptek SORRY.
lets hope you recieve a response, they are pritty good at returning a email thanks

Default Aiptek dv 8800

Dear fishycomics
Iíve tried every plug nothing happens.
Only when I put the plug in the AV-IN plug I have something happens but its like watching tv with out reception! Lines on a black screen. Is it possible to be old firmware? Wrong version of DV 8800?
In the web page AIPTEK says that sporty cam is compatible with DV 8800 general no matter the version!
And make me think how a German based company makes products without any tests! They suppose to have TUV certificates!
And it is bad because it wasnít just one DV camera with that problem! The internet shop I bought it from they send me a new set both DV 8800 and sporty cam but they had the same problem! And they still accept back both cameras.
Does anybody know if I keep the sporty cam is it any other cheap camera or recorder I can use with it?
