Yes this is the one that both fishycomics and myself have. The camcorder takes SD and SDHC memory cards. No special speed rating needed so don't spend more than necessary. Sandisk should work fine.

Nitti... Welcoe aboard

As we have the cam, with its orginal firmware, the cam will act normal, use any sd card/mmc you like, but stand clear of no name brands.

When loading newer firmware I found that one or two that are incorrectly given for the cam will cause issues. saying a highspeed card is needed. (fw 2700 series-2800)
otherwise just go about gettingany size card

I like to keep to a certain size for my own personal reasons 8 gig will win me over

Is this from amazon? ie is this the one you mean:

http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-SDSDHV.../dp/B001CHL3A6

In which case, that's too much you can get them a lot cheaper. Try newegg.com and search for 16GB SDHC, you'll see they are all much cheaper. I currently have a Kingston 8GB in mine. A 16GB is only $32 with free shipping as well.

Enjoy your camera, you'll have a lot of fun with it!

I am very happy with mine and the video quality is comparable with camcorders much more expensive so you made a good choice. It also depends on what you are mainly using it for.

For general family use I have found it perfect for this.

Everyone is different in their expectations so only you will know that, but let's put it this way, you could do MUCH worse than this camera. If you purchased from Walmart you, then you have 30 days to return it which should be more than enough time to decide if you like it or not.

Enjoy!
