Hello you guys, as you all can see from my post count, this is my first ever post for this forum after only been reading all priceless threads about hybrid camera reviews and discussions.

All in all, i'd like to ask you guys about this particular Brica series. I am in difficulty finding about this series' review as it was only released last June (well, probably it should have decent reviews now, but I just couldn't find any)

I'm currently comparing this series with the latest Aiptek Action HD GVS as i am still in confusion of picking either one (this Brica or Aiptek HD GVS)

thank you for helping!

The Aiptek GVS has 5x optical zoom, while that Brica camera only offers digital zoom (thus unusable zoom. It degrades image quality.) That's the biggest difference I could spot so far. Oh, and the GVS uses 1440x1080p 16:9 anamorph, the Brica uses real 1920x1080 (at least according to those specs you provided), just like the Aiptek AHD h5 Pro / Extreme.

well, as i would probably primarily use my soon-to-be camera for most music shows i attended, will zoom feature and macro feature is going to be much used for it?

if only there are some reviews for audio results ><

Did you look into Ispan, digiilife or DXG and a few others that resemble the model.
the GVS is a ideal cam or Z700

@fishycomics
Well, my look-around in google found these results:

DIGILIFE DDV-597HD (or 1100HD ?)
http://www.zetronix.com/product_info...roducts_id=137

With Features like :
3" TFT LCD High Quality Display
8 Mega Pixel HD Digital Camera
1920 x 1080 (1080p) HD Video Resolution up to 30fps
20X zoom (digital & optical combined)
Auto Focus Zoom Lens
HCSD Card Slot up to 8GB
Night shoot mode
Rechargeable il-ion battery
easy power charge from PC via USB cable or AC charger
Digital Still Camera
PC Camera
HD Video Recording
Voice Recording
Mass Storage MP3 Player with Lyrics Display JPEG/AVI (MPEG4)/MP3 TV Out Self Timer Motion Detection/Night Mod

While DXG i found DVV-581 but in storage only up to 8gigs like Digilife

another thing / fact for me to consider is Aiptek only release old model here (like AHD 200) while GVS, z700, and h5 extreme had not been released in my country (i am currently in Indonesia, btw) and so as digilife (they didn't distribute 597 HD here)

Brica, on the other hand is available in my nearest local retail shop.

Should i still ship the Aiptek ones internationally?

PS : where does h5 extreme or z700 is currently available, by the way?

today, i finally bought this one for about 150$ for the price. But eventually, it's not the FULL HD type. There were actually two different types of DV 120. One is this one (DV 120 HD) with maximum resolution of 1280x720 (720p). While the other one (DV 120 FULL HD) with maximum resolution of 1920x1080 (1080p). I'm planning to return it tomorrow and will try to look for the FULL HD version.
