Default Pistol Grip Design

As an addict of the Pistol Grip design I have often read concerns in reviews of the 'Pistol Grip' camera design and even how it won't catch on (even though most people I show it too, immediately love the design and I often can't get them to consider a regular camcorder)

Anyway they forget that we already had a pistol grip design in the past that was successful. It was called the Cine Camera!

Would be nice to see such Cams again, must be great filming and good handling.

Yes right it is nearly the same but the grip of the Pistolcam is better for handling. Hmm i think i know one who has such a Cam in his attic. Will give that a try ..

I have a Canon super8 or 8mm with f1.2 lens around here somewhere. I was just musing again lately, about ripping one of our cameras apart and putting it into one of these. I originally bought the camera to rip the lens off and put on a Sanyo HD1 or other. think, bigger battery, manual focus, iris etc. I wonder if the lens would define enough resolution though.
