I doubt it will go any lower as I think the price decrease already was because of the HD2000 release! Still I will be happy if it comes down further in the 30 days I have as I can then get amazon to refund me the difference

One more question. Is there a minimum card speed for an SD card?

You mean is there a minimum speed for that these cameras will take? No they will work with any speed SDHC card.

They should also be fine with regular SD cards although the HD1010 12Mbps for the Full HD is right on the limit of the slowest SD cards but should be fine in 720p mode.

Great. It looks like the 8 gig card I have is class 6, so I shouldn't need to worry. Well, maybe I should upgrade the size to 16 gig. 8 gig will fill up pretty fast at 12 Mbps.

Wait, the Sanyo website says the highest bitrate mode is [Full-HD]: 1920 x 1080 (60 FPS*6 14 Mbps. It appears that it is a 60 field per second 1080i mode. That would take up some space, but must look amazing.

It is always better to have some speed beside than otherwise :-) Class 6 SD Cards are real good and not too expensive. I have several from 2 to 16 GB but the best i have is from Sundisk.

Yes you are correct I forgot about the 60i mode but I generally don't use it. I prefer the progressive 1080p mode which is 12Mbps. I guess if I knew I was going direct to DVD then I may use it then.

Ok, my hd1010 just arrived. I wasn't prepared for how much larger it is than the hd700. However, the pictures and video look MUCH better. Very impressive.

I am having trouble viewing the 1080i60fps on my macbook pro (w/Snow Leopard) with Quicktime. It is slightly jerky and not being deinterlaced properly. You can see the interlacing which makes for a very poor looking picture. I tried it with VLC and it looked a little better, but it still appears that there are problems with the deinterlacing. 1080p30 looks and plays back with no problem.

Has the HD1010 a thread so that you can mount a lens shade or wide angel lens?
