I laughed at the previous Samsung camcorder with the angled lens, but I have to say that it seems to make sense for this form factor (try holding a flip in your hand, you have to bend your wrist). Interesting... now, if only it has some reasonable sensitivity in low-light...

A familiar sounding name from way back.

Thanks for that, however:
No, no, not downloading video reviews again ? The things I am interested in, is, if any of these cameras either offer 50 or 60 frames a second in any HD mode, have 8mp+ true resolution sensor, ultra clear low noise night, or high latitude or high data-rate (over 9mb/s for 720p50/60 or 1080p (over 4 GB per hour)), adalfa? These will be cameras to watch.

looks good. I caught, and watched online the intro to the Samsung, and passed. For 182.00 intro included a bag, a sd card. not worth it for me.

Now Jvc looks interesting, liked the youtube clip.

Toshiba Slim cam, resembles some othr brand panasonic, dsnap.

Aipteks Pen cam will be interesting if they corrected rolling shutter. hate to see repeated troubles.
September the Samsung is released, and am sure we're gonna see a lot more Pop up, outta no where

This IFA is located on Aiptek.de, and through sept 9th. videos can beseen when posted. thanks

Trevmar. I was skeptic about the angled Samsung cameras. But I've changed my mind after holding the HMX-R10. It really is more comfortable to hold(at least for me). I would suspect that it's the same with the HMX-U10.

Wayne12. I'm also interested to know those specs you mentioned. Most camera makers seems to hide the data-rate value and only mentioned resolution and fps. Well we'll have to wait, I guess till someone buys one. Thx for the Rollei homepage link, as I forgot to post it.

Fishycomics. Thx for the aiptek info. Hehehe the JVC is too much bling bling for my taste and I wonder how the specs are compared to flip HD/Zi8/U10. The colorful small Aiptek PenCam Trio HD looks cute. Although regarding the rolling shutter issue, I'm afraid it still exists. There's no stabillization and the sensor is a CMOS type. It has gone on sale in Germany but too expensive at the moment. I just have to wait.

Other than this not much is know about the specs.

Digilife DDV-JF1:
- 1280x720p
- 2.5" LCD
- Builit-in Pico projector 640x360 (16:9)
