I bit the bullet. One is winging its way to me
I was told the new lens is better.
It goes straight back if they have removed the EV setting screen. I wasn't able to confirm that

ev-2 - +2 I hear ya but the volume and mic are located to its front and no longer in Junction to the speaker. why the gunposwer is still collecting power.

Fishy, the mic was always at the top, near the lens. It is tiny, about 1/8 inch diameter. Speaker is at the bottom, near the record button.

I have been sent a copy of the user manual now, and the rotating lens cover is a switch on some Infra-red LEDs used for night mode, which are switched on by rotating the lens cover.

Many more things on the menu. What worries me is a new "Scene" mode without the user manual showing it can be switched off.

I canceled my order , as it is pretty clear they use the same 7.45mm lens as the F200, and if the sensor is now sensitive to infra-red light, that might mess up the colors being registered in white light. So I will wait for more info to arrive before I spend time evaluating it.
.

LOl not at ya.

Amazing, what red transparant film can do. 3 feet range for night mode, not interested in 3 feet lol

my cam is placed to the side , you are probably right, but I always thought it was part of the speaker LOL. if not then that is a Modd I must do , drill a hole for a louder mic Lol.

so it may be that F200 parts are being used and in juction to newer parts. why the differences. well I rached my limit in purchasing. as nothing truly new is out.

If you mean TV playback cable plugged in will be the Standard def Yellow/red/white, to Tv, will it show on the Tv,, and if record is hit, will it record ?

Yes the sound will not be heard, but video and audio should record.

If you are asking with the HDMI cables, I must run that test.

I can confirm not now.

I do have myModel ,and may want to Sell. I am sure it will be a fair price if it interests you?

Standard def is all I need
Thanks for the quick response.

So video will record normally to the SD card from the camera,
while also displaying the video via it's TV Playback cable?

This is the intended application.

High quality video recorded onboard the vehicle while the low quality standard def is transmitted back to the user to drive the vehicle.

If one is going to extend a tv playback you,ll only have video of the cam. But what you,re saying, you want to use the cam as the imput of video, and run a bigger monitor.while it records?

That is correct.
See what the camera is recording on a TV.
Using the camera as the input to the TV
