that is my intention to be all over.

well theshop that sells this only has a few vids out there, and those who have purchased probably do not go under the tags f200hd

Imagine if I just did the same then you be without sample clips

So imagine if a company says yeah Fish's the man.

Any one find a place selling the F500HD?
I only see it on the DOD site and you can't buy it there.

Cheers!

I went looking too. Nothing found yet.
I suspect it is just a firmware change, but I rely on my two little F200HD's so much I would be happy to splurge on an F500HD when it becomes available, just in case they have made any optical or imager improvements...

seen two online, of the f200 hd @ 130 or 140 free ship, still not bad forthis device, I still have mine and happy, night time is night time not the best.

the f500 hd will most likely be a video recrd rotation, so the cam can fit more confined on a dash.

this cam is for videoing but to set the other features a sore eye. very small fonts

Some of the F500HD units are being delivered in Taiwan. Seem to have firmware problems. Best to wait a little while I suspect. Note the firmware date on this video:

Also, I note that the lens quality is variable. One of my F200HD has a 1080p resolution lens, the other is more blurry, like 720p. The users write (in Chinese) on this blog that quality control on the new/current lenses may be even worse:

Nice work finding those youtube videos from China.
I like the idea of rotating the video on the 500 so I can mount it upside down.
I've got one coming from DOD. I've read thru your posts on the 200 so I'll let you know if I'm unlucky with firmware, the lens, or anything else.

Here is the 500 for sale in Taiwan:

I like how fishycomics videos are used. Mmmm, pizza....

Is 4500 Yuan converted really USD 660 for this camera? Doesn't make sense.

Yes, well if you go shopping for anything in Taiwan or PRC expect to find it tagged at three times its lowest US price. You can usually haggle to about half the tag, but the storefront traditionally takes a larger percentage than an online US (or Ebay) seller would do.
