$124 incl shipping from a reliable supplier (F200HD0:

I may get another spare. Tomorrow I am swapping the lenses between my two F200HD to see if the difference between them is lens focus or sensor mounting. If the lenses vary, I think I will get another... Will post when I have info...

Good to know!
Thanks Trevmar.

I want to make clear IMO this is not a general purpose handheld camera - it is a 1080p camera, with excellent resolution, ideal for fixed position mounting. It has little or no stability control and is not as good as the Kodak in low light. It does have a novel shape, making its profile very flat.

But it does have control over EV from -2 to +2. and it takes video for hours at a time (2:30 on an extended battery, 5+ hours on power supply). Which is the critical factor for me. It also has manual White Balance.

I just noted that DealExtreme has an image with a newer version of software than my own F200HD:

2009120404 Hmm...

Incidentally, the difference in clarity/resolution between my two F200HD was not due to the lenses, but something in sensor mounting, I guess. Swapping lenses made no difference. It isn't a big deal - except that at 1080p everything is a big deal... everything is visible...

I just received my F500HD this evening (faster delivery than mailing a letter across my city).
There is an F500 sticker over top of every F200. Included is an *awesome* shiny silver soft case. Here are a couple of pics:

That's all I have to say because you know the rest.

What date is on the firmware?

Is it using the same imager chip as the F200HD? Same resolution and low-light sensitivity?
