Some nice test footage here:

Amazing. Those specs are almost the same as my Sanyo HD1010 but in a tiny package! I wonder how much this is going to cost?

Yep, you're right fishycomics, and it said it more than once too. I guess I skipped that in my eagerness to look at the specs!

huh? Where did it say that? The sensor alone is 5MP and it says

1080p: 1920x1080, 30fps, 12Mbit/s data rate.

The *lowest* resolution is

720p: 1280x720, 30fps, 7.5Mbits/s data rate or 15Mbit/s for 60fps.

The current SD models do shoot in 512x384. This post is on the upcoming HD model which looks similar but is completely different inside. It should be on sale in a few weeks.

Well, I was referring to what's currently available for purchase. As other users point out, there is not HD version as of yet (upcoming soon).

The thing is, a 1280x720 resolution captured with a CMOS sensor.. and using the device for 'extreme' sports, will probably not look so great (jelly-o-vision), unless there is some sort of compensation for it.

We were talking about the upcoming new one. No one was referring to their current one which I agree is pretty poor for a current device.

The video samples for the new one look pretty good to me without too much evidence of rolling shutter.
