Looks like there's a bird on top of the tree (left side of the screen) that is making noise...

Well, after placing 4gb of ram, new motherboard, and a intel dual core processor in my computer, I cannot get the video to play back on the computer without being all choppy using Magix. I have not tried the software that comes with the camera because from all the reviews I have read the software on the camera is junk. Only option for me at this time is to send the camera back to amazon. I have already sunk nearly $300 into the computer. My guess is you need a quad core setup to be able to render videos from these cameras.

Got my neighbor to buy zi8 in x'mas, he is using an old Pentium 4 single core emachine 1 GB ram, has no trouble with built-in software - latest version being the best so far.

I did have to clean out his loads and loads or un-use software, temp files, bad registries etc etc etc, then go through complete scan and fix hard drive, defrac twice, and c-cleaned to make it work. using xp and not 7. now his box is so fast we can even watch HD video smooth as silk. Also, many antivirus software will slow your box down, ie. AVG <---

Take a look at the "minimum" system requirements of magix, if you pass those requirements, 99 out of 100 you did not configure you box correctly.

Not necessarily true. Try it out for yourself first. Give it a few months, you might be surprised!

Sorry, Magix 16 pro. Maybe I jumped the gun while I was posting. I just want this to be able to work for my wife. I am not familiar with the settings in magix so that may be my problem. What I tried was importing the video from the camera and playing it through magix and it was near impossible to play. My processors were maxxed out at 100%. the videos I have taken are in 720p/60fps. I am running a dual core setup, 4gb of ram, and win 7 ultimate. Maybe you guys can steer me in the right direction.
