I'd suggest using 720p (30fps) instead of 1080p (30fps) in low light situations. The sensor ought to have better low light performance in the lower resolution because of pixel binning. 1080p video gets pretty fuzzy in low light anyway, so there is not really an advantage in the higher resolution. And the 1080p mode has a smaller angle of view because the sensor uses windowing in this mode, which can be a disadvantage (filming indoor, party, ...).

The Zi8 not keeping the mic gain setting has been discussed before. There has been a debate whether it is a bug or a feature on page 60 if you want to look it up. I personally think the gain is OK in the default setting, if I later feel the need for a boost I do it in post processing.

All i can do is descuss, my opinion. Kodak.com customer service. File your concern, if not then you know what will happen
HAND OVER HEAD.

they only go on feedback of customers in a email, phone call, or in support. Kodak has no forum.

Epcot night firework show Part one
this show ws extended for the season of christmas time by 1/3rd longer.
Part two is as exciting as part one, and has the better half of the BOOM!

When at Epcot, we were at Canada. on the steps to the left by the bench, next to the fountain no heads or obstructions, perfect view. I could not ask for anything more, but a tripod LOL
glare of flashs , may need a lens orfilte
