Thanks adalfa,

If anyone runs across a unit that I can purchase please let me know. I'd really like to try this out and have some ideas for it.

Thanks,

Chris

Have found a new website for it, and more cameras, even smaller.

http://www.digit-recorder.com/

This was linked from the original website.

The thumbnail, and the big eyes linked from that:

.
The place I got my two DOD F200D from, doesn't seem to have that model. You could write to them, most of these HK dealers tend to "know" people..

Default Thumb Camera

I ordered one of the DOD "Thumb cameras", this new link is VERY interesting. I'd front the money to buy a few for trial, just don't know where to buy them. I'd even buy one for Fishy to test out for us.

I still can't seem to find The DOD vr-h2 on sale anywhere. I guess we have to wait till next year. The other hi def model has a wide angle lens but only records 8fps. This is good for timelapse videos.

Hey Chris, which one did you get from the hk shop? Was it the MD80, MD91 or the Mini DV with the picture of a girl on the box?

Crummy audio sample rate on this camera: only 8 Khz.

I need at least 48 Khz.

Too bad.

I ordered the DOD VR-H2 directly from DOD. Should be here next week. I'll post a review with some sample videos when I get it. We may start distributing them here in the US.

I'm really interested in finding the www.Digit-Recorder.com cameras. I can't seem to find any contact information for the company or where they might be sold.

Any ideas ?

Actually, 8KHz with 16 bits of resolution is what these new cameras are sporting. It actually sounds not too bad. If you think that is limited, I have a keychain camera here with 8KHz 8bit audio. Now that really is bad...
