Default Aiptek GVS & Raynox Lens Adapter

I just received a Raynox QC-505 wide angle lens adapter I ordered from Amazon, to use on my Aiptek Action HD GVS. The adapter fits OK on the camera lens, but I'm finding that it causes the camera to be just slightly out of focus. I haven't found any reference to manual focus capability on this camcorder, but it does have the means to turn off the Auto Focus.

Can it be manually focused, or is the on/off for the Auto Focus just to hold the focus on a stationary camcorder after it has automatically focused?

Thanks.

I have one of those Raynox adapters for my GVS. If I recall correctly, I point the camera at a distant object, put it in the macro mode, then I put the AF lock on, and all is well. Weird, but it works.

im searching for pics of both side and details about those raynox adapters
i have no idea how u 'plug' it and most important for me if i could put one of those on the xacti cg10
shame they build the lens ring not round, its like they dont want us to add anything.

also im wondering if u can add a filter to these raynox
is there any screw thingie on the external side ?

i'll try to check if one of my local shop have any kind of adapter, but i doubt.
so if u have more infos, they are welcome

Default Thanks you saved my Vaction

Hey Rob:

I just got myself one of these Raynox QC-505 Wide Angle Lens.
I've been doing testing with my Z700 Camcorder and notice that
there was a slight off focus.
I was just about to giveup on the Raynox Wide Angle Lens until I read
your solution.
Now I can look forward to a great Vaction.

Thanks Robert.
