I just Purchased the pinn studio 14 ultima. free. with rebate forms at fryes.com

I did play with it. so lets see what it will do for me. cannot go wrong for a few dollars correct?

sftwr was out for a while.
I as well wanted one other but well, it'll do.

Prior versions of WMM, would not handle H.264 video codec natively, but with an add on codec pack, like ffdshow-tryouts, it works very well with H.264 (at least the Vista version does). I still like the Vista version (similar to XP version) better than the new (and still under development) Live Movie Maker, and run them both on my W7 PC.

Yes the new movie maker is a bit basic to say the least.

I hate that when you opt to update the codecs it shows nothing of an update, so in my eyes of win moviemaker , I have to upgrade lol
