Default Aiptek GVS or Kodak Zi8?

Hey guys, First post, I was going to make it count.

Well, Im starting off going to buy a camcorder soon, I will need a good one, and it is good on all accounts. I would like to have the video clear, so the 720p @ 60fps on the GVS is the one im leaning to, any suggestions?

Thanks In advance. -Colin

Welcome aboard Colin31.

1st
These are a " Pc low Budget Economy Hybrid Camcorder" great for the Daytime Outdoor Shots Only.

GVS has Ev settings, if they work or not to increase exposure on film.
GVS has a whitebalance setting to choose 4 or 5 from
GVS has aGyro Stab only, for720P andWVGA 60 fp not 30 f or hd1080P
GVS has a AF lock
GVS has a electronic macro of up to the lens, and background stays focused as well.
GVS gas nightshot Mode

Zi8 has facedetect
Zi8 has digital stab, not Gyro, says on firmware LOL but on all modes will be on
Zi8 has Mic gain control,

The GVS has more controls over the Kodak, but the Kodak seems to be the better cam in ways, the Gyro stab on the GVS works, the ZI8 fails

the choice becomes super- hard now LOL.

two clips of the kodak and aiptek.

just two clips, so many vids lol.

one that does not give me issues period LOL, and Like i said
these are Pc low budget............................

It's quite a tough question, I hear G4 bashed the hell out of what they were paid to do.

I hear CBS only aired what they felt they wanted to show at the spur vado.

I see only the Flip on tv with a dumb 15 sec fame of a broken thumb.

But I have not yet to see a orginal of Kodak, nor Aiptek.

I grab a cam I have no matter which I have prefrence.

I may now take the Kodak more because, It's the newest one.

I make it my Hobby, I hear others state their opinon that this cam, that cam is poor etc, etc. if complaining etc, etc.

The two clips I just demoe'd

Kodak will show a BRIGHTER background.
Aiptek will not.

Well, Isnt there a way to fix that exposure on the Aiptek, using EV? Something else?
Im kinda leaning to the Aiptek, cause of the price being lower, and I kinda like the "gun" look, but im not sure?

the GVS you rasie or lower the EV setting by 2 1 0 -1 -2 if it adjusts or not.

The Ev stated by maxprime last year claimes it works, while i have yet to see an improvement of it working or with firmware.

I deffently see an improvement with the lesser models of Aiptek. but the GVS I have no idea if it is adjustable, in working order.

nightshot mode will deffently open the shutter up,

my cam is not old its around 4 days old or more, I als well ahve an olderGVS both refuse to show gain of the EV. go figure.

you're Pointing to a Aiptek AHD300, not a GVS, so is this the camcorder here, No.

three stickies to look at
  • Aiptek Action HD GVS
  • Aiptek A HD+
  • Kodak ZI8
Then ask that question again thanks .
