Pity the HD version will be delayed, we have the capability today. I have been suggesting this to ambarella and manufacturers before. I have been holding off doing my own 3D camera, but basically with 24mb/s ambarella processor and two 1080p60 capable sensors is acceptable.

There are a number for consumer TV's these days that support 3D glasses (and some graphic cards) and some TV's (and monitors) have autosteroscopic 3D, which do not require glasses (you can even get a unit in a case to go on the iphone) like Hyundai (Sharp did have laptops years ago).

I think a lot of companies are trying to jump on the 3D bandwagon even when they have no products to demo as I had heard on a podcast that LG had simply put in a slide for one of their presentations that said they were working on a 3D TV for instance.

Demonstrated for the first time at CES last week, DXG will be launching a 3D camcorder this summer that will run for less than $200. A bundle package will also be available which will include a 7-inch 3D viewer screen so you can easily show off your cool 3D video footage to family and friends.

So does this viewer screen work on the same principle as those stereoscopic views? Isn't it a bit pointless to sell the camera on it's own initially if you can't view the output without one of these viewers?
