Default Zi8 - PNY 16GB SDHC Card

Hi,

Just got my Zi8 yesterday after reading many recommendations.

Took a look around and found that people had success using a PNY Class 4 16GB SDHC card, so I ordered this one:

http://www.play.com/Electronics/Elec...ctReviews.html

One of the reviews says that it works with the Zi8 absolutely fine. But for me, it shows the 'Card Full' icon, and gives me an error when trying to format it.

It formats fine within Windows (FAT32) but the Zi8 still does this. Anyone know if i'm able to get it working, or have I got to get a new SD card? Works fine with an old 256mb MMC I have here.

Ps, already updated firmware from 1.03 to 1.06

Thanks

This is the one(s) I purchased. Great reviews, class 6, reasonable price. Hoping they come in tomorrow so I can give 'em a spin:

thre is a old saying:
a sucker Born every minute. and not to you atall.

I would go wit hthe ones I trust,and I do not go counterfiet etiher,

could this be just that? unsure.

But , you said only half of what we wanted to hear,, younever said you formated in your Zi8. if you do not allow the cam to accept thesd, and write info to the coard by formatting. then it may not work. after its formatted it should accept it.

If not

I request a refund with your shipping as well. and get a sandisk

@xJoey Dubsx
It appears so... but not by me! I posted it in the Kodak forum - this post must be as a result of a moderator/admin copying it maybe.

@fishycomics
I did mention in my OP that I tried formatting it with the camera, it shows the 'Card Full' icon, and gives me an error when trying to format it.

The SD card is certainly not counterfeit... Play.com are very reputable. Was just surprised it didn't. I seem to be having similar issues with my old MMC card now too, which was working fine before... certainly before the firmware update.... and I did manage to record using that yesterday, after the uipdate too... but today it is giving me problems. Starting to think this is more an issue with the camera, rather than the SD Card?

My Zi8 formats every card I've tried so far.

I wonder if maybe you got a defective camera? You could swap it for another and see if the problem persists.
