July 4th is in winter here in NZ. This ceremony to honour my wife's ancestor Samuel Calkin took place on a cold and very wet day. The ZX3 is waterproof so it was good to go while other cameras there were retreated to their camera bags.

About the fixed focus lens. I have taken to carrying around a +3 diopter lens from a cheap pair of reading glasses that I bought from a "2 dollar shop" (is that "dimestore" in US english?). In my teaching work I can now use the ZX3 like an instant click scanner to collect student work on paper.
another great idea...

FW 1.03

If you read the main page?

now the main question is How cn I revert back to the orginal firmware???

Knowing of the Kodak Zi8 it was a matter of holding a few keys at the same time to get into the cams reverting, and any incorrect press will get you into trouble.

I have today no clue or want to mess around trying, not worth a upgrade if truely asked.

hope that helps out

holding three buttons and ht On gets you into where you may need to be to revert, never tried, never will.

Default to go back

its easy, just rename old FW to number higher than the last one you put in:
eg. rename 1.03 to 1.13 <--- this is higher than 1.12, then load it in as usual...

yes, me too, no plan to upgrade FW unless there is something not quite right, but kept both new and old FW in file just in case....

Now I am debating weather to take Zx3 or Zi8 with me on the trip because Zx3 will eat more memory space for same length of video...

I do not think it will the zx3? but ask yourself:

Am I going to be caught in rain

Am I going to be swimming

What can the zi8 do that the zx3 do different.

MACRO shot zi8

So should I leave it home, if I have absolute no room?

I probably do t same thing max .
