Sorry, still not working.

It was a really good thought - but something else must be amiss.

The fact I noticed that my Zx3 would not keep its date when I changed out the battery just before it died, may indicate something -

I have located the rechargeable battery that keeps the date - but haven't tried changing that out - however that seems a long shot - because applying either ac power adapter or a good battery should mitigate a flat date battery - unless of course as fishy has hinted before sometimes bad batteries could prevent other means of power to work.

May try replacing the part to see if that works, as long as the part is inexpensive - I don't wish to throw any good money after bad.

In the meantime I am using and enjoying the refurbished Samsung W200 I bought a few weeks before Zx3 went kaput -

Perhaps my Zx3 knew I bought another pocket HD camcorder and is sulking?

Thanks,

Kodak had been clearing out lots of old model stuff - remotes are going for $3 etc. - maybe you can ask them to sent you a replacement board for just shipping cost alone. I find that if I get to call and talk directly to techie instead of CSR, I get a lot done.

I have just done 1080 low light test video with my ZX3, surprisingly, posting both 720 and 1080 version on Y/T the 1080 version came out worst than 720 version.

here's 720 version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kk28sJYkuvk

here's 1080 version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9MzwAH1eTE

maybe I should update the FW...
