Not much info given as for usage. The video quality aren't that much different between the small pocket camcorders(Unless you buy a ->$60 chinese camera with interpolation). They have somewhat different contrast/saturation/color/audio values factory set, so it comes down to a matter of taste imo.

Do you need optical zoom, microphone input or waterproof? The best pocket camcorder is the one that fullfill your needs and that you feel comfortable using.

End of Sept many new models are releasing, and even found online for as low as 60.00 for refurbb's the choice is always a option.

I try my best to comment on given info, but minimal leads to difficulties.

we need intentions.

I have a Sanyo VPC-FH1 and am very happy with it. I recommended to a co-worker and he thinks it's one of his best purchases he's ever made. Not quite a pocket camcorder (still small nonetheless) but Sanyo does have quite the pocket lineup. I have seen these camcorders in person and they will definitely fit in your pocket. If they are anywhere near as good as the VPC-FH1, then they are good to go and well under $300 US. All have optical zoom (digital zoom pretty much useless) Solid reviews for all Here are some links:

Here's the new "Flip" style one:

I've Sanyo PD2 .... it's a funny FullHD camera for very, very low price, but the only once with stereo mics and flashlight aaaaand 3x zoom aaaaand 10 mpixels.

Quality of video/photos is average ... 1920x1080/30, 1280x720/60, 1280x720/30, 640x480 (MP4) ... pictures up to 10 mpixels - or 12 mpixels interpolated.

Very simple to use. Zooming while videoing possible, but you hear a weak sound.
Price in Europe €129 incl 19% vat. For this price you get no better FullHD pocket camcorder with these features. Box includes camera, USB cable, manual ...

You can charge battery in camera, but also you get a external charger for $ 5.49 incl. car charger. SDHC cards up to 32 GB, SDHX cards 64 GB.

sample picture 10 mpixel .... rainy, cloudy ... macro till 10cm possible
