Personally, I think somebody at CISCO has -- with the FlipPort feature -- completely revolutionized the Flip line of camcorders to the point where they are now very competitive against the APPLE touch screen devices *and* Kodaks *and* Sanyos.

That new wide-angle lens also looks cool:

Apparently, it attaches with the help of a magnet.

Yes, but notice how the reviewer from PC MAGAZINE claims his visual comparison of the FLIP's 720/60p video against the 1080/30p video of the new Kodak PLAYTOUCH model yielded the following conclusion:

Here's the link to the review:

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2369300,00.asp

Quote:
Video capture from the UltraHD is limited to 720p60 (1280 by 720 pixels at 60 progressive frames per second). Competing pocket camcorders, like those from Kodak and Sony, offer a choice of resolutions and frame rates, and can record up to 1080p30. Make no mistake, you're not going to get the same caliber of video quality that comes with a pricey full-blown camcorder. But in my real-world tests, I found video captured by the UltraHD looked fantastic, much better than the 720p30 footage from an iPod touch or even the 1080p30 recordings captured by Kodak's Playtouch Video Camera.
So at least one reviewer is claiming that the 720p from the new FLIP beats the 1080p from the new Kodak PLAYTOUCH.

So I would like to do a comparison myself and see if I can agree or disagree with this claim.

I guess they didn't believe in using a tripod; very poor shooting technique to just pan all over the place like that. Stupid, in fact.
