Yes, an extremely nice device, especially good low light (as good or better than standard 1/4 CMOS)

I have upgraded my 808 #11 firmware to remove the Date and Time, to save the file reliably when the battery goes flat, and to lengthen the time between the 6-second file gaps to once every 53 minutes (4GB files rather than original 1.6GB files).

Revised firmware and info can be found at:
http://www.techmoan.com/blog/2011/2/...ra-11-808.html

Watching the 16 minute introduction is time well spent:

I get 44 minutes (average) out of a fully charged battery in my unit - YMMV.
When powered from the automobile-charger supplied with the unit, the recording will run continuously (in 53 minute segments) until the SD card is full (about 200 minutes for a 16GB card). Do not use a normal USB cord to supply the camera while filming...

I recently discovered the 808 type 11 keychain camera. I found a couple of good reviews on Youtube that show the good and the bad and the ugly of this camera.

Based on the reviews and how the 11 compares to the 3 version, this looks like a really good deal for 40 bucks. I have been using a gopro hero HD but I am always afraid of breaking it.

In spite of the problems shown in the reviews, this camera will be easier to mount and less likely to smack something and get damaged.

I'm surprised you like the low light performance. maybe I'm in really low light conditions. I like how it looks when there are some lux, but there doesn't seem to be any gain.
