Hmm I buy almost all my electronics from Amazon and this is the 1st defective item I've ever purchased, used or new. And I see quite a few of the same issues all over Youtube, I can't imagine they all bought from Amazon. And the WX9 I got was new, and I got 2 and had to return both. Speaking about the Kodak Zi12, on paper looks good, 1080P 60FPS is definitely a nice feature and it has a slo-mo feature which is pretty cool for capturing fast moving objects or sports action. However still only has worthless digital zoom and Kodaks never seem to take very good pics indoors. (Had the Zx3, although now Zi12 has a flash so might be better now) The WX10 I think is small enough to fit comfortably in your pocket, costs about the same as the Zi12, or for even a more slimmer model, the http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Cyber-Sho...9413402&sr=8-1 about the same features as the WX10. One thing about these Sony's is they take great video and pics, and lots of options. For $200 more or less, definitely a nice buy for a non-pro but enjoys nice affordable quality.

Hey Fishy, your 3rd video seems to have that chirping sound present as well, listen from 12 seconds onward.

not sure because I am using a Xshot. a mini tripod, one of them I dropped while running, As if you hear it when still then I can say yes but tehre are insects as well creating noises. if this chrping is present, do you think it is the AF working 100x a second doin its job? becasue the Aony HX9V may do that at given times work its tail off

Not sure what accounts for the chirping noise but it's definitely not just the birds or insects in the background, it's exactly the same chirping I heard on mines even indoors. But the WX10 does not have the chirping at all, hopefully none of the other Sony's have it either.

I may not hear certain sounds. who knows.

if the mics were placed, or even offered extnal ports? Things so compact we just have todeal with it. I would love to get a Canon, maybe it is a better cam in ways. But again one has this, and one has that. if they just can make ONE cam with all that stuff i am SOLD

Keep a look out for 4k. Panasonic makes a fullhdp60 as well. Hopefully Sony can do super HD next this year.

The hx9v, that does do 28mb/s, doesn't it Fishy? Does wx 9 or 10 do full HD at 60 franes at 28mb/s as well?

Thanks

Wayne.

There question is for me right now

GOPRO2

I am interested in Her, reasons are I am in the Hobby of Rc planes today the 808 keychain cam works wonders for flying, super light weight.

The Gopro2 has the ext mic. which is the better of the gopro1.

I just wished they had 60 fps for a 300.00 cam. I have to look into see how much the cam alone if possable, , and get the LCD screen adaptor. I need to view, so I will be getting one after I sell some of my collections..
I must protect the cam if I fly the planes. I preferre a 808 it is best to lose 40.00 vs 300 plus.

Now if Kodak had added in the setting or functions to this camera, in all modes, and not just limit to one.

Narrow, medium, and wide view. like the GoPro Imagine all the sales and not being in business, they should have done this a long time ago.

rather fooling with keeping one perspective all along. 35mm , now they are going for a wider look only?

They should also nor limit the slo mo feature to only one setting. why? uses up memory. we have bigger cards, uses up battery we have extra batterries. the chip cannot take it. make a biggerchip.

I am so so close to getting one, what stops me from getting a gopro is the lens being exposed and scratching people say, thinking it is a sports cam not a walking cam?

it even has a cover, and hte cover gets sratched, it even has a replacement lens, it even has a protective film for the lenses.

there is even a site that has a correction to take out hte 170 or fish eye effect,

If the gopro has three settings I am sure fisheye is only on WIDE mode, and not narrow mode. that to me is like gold........
