Default Aiptek V5V doesn't 'see' SD card.

I picked this up from somewhere several years back and thought it would be fun to get some use out of it. I have tried two different cards, a Sandisk 8 GB (known good) and a Sandisk 32GB Ultra. The camera screen blanks when either of the cards are added, but reverts back to the internal memory indicator.

Shouldn't I be at least be getting some kind of incompatibility / wrong format message?
The "instruction" manual has no troubleshoot section, so I must rely on others who have played with these things, and thanks for your time.

G'day mate

2 things here ... I don't know what a 'GVS' model is so can't comment, but >
You say that I picked this up from somewhere several years back So it occurs to me that the camera's internal computer might be locked into a small SD card, maybe down to 1GB or 2GB.
I suggest you use Dr Google to investigate a bit more to find what cards will suit best

Phil

Any update on the camera and issue?
