After neglecting the Hybrid List for a while, I've just added a bunch of cameras. Hopefully I've located most of the new models. Remind me if I've missed any.

This new SVP seems different enough from the Digilife 510 that I've listed it as a separate camera. The SVP gets the award for the largest difference between the bezel size and the lens diameter. Still, it looks like a nice job.

And where are the Digilife DDV-510 and 520? I'm sure glad I didn't wait for them to show up before buying the Samsung.

Over the last few days I've added or updated these cameras:

DDV-5120A
DDV-6120A
DDV-C511
DDV-V2
DDV-C340
DDV-5000
DDV-5100
Digilife DDV-C340 = 751
DDV-XT16i

Aiptek
ZoomDV
DV8800 = PVR

RCA (Pure Digital)
mysmallwonder

SVP
HDDV-5500

Besta
Digi-eye DV-588 (DXG 202V)

DGZoom (TigerDirect)
DG5500 (Aiptek DV5300)

Neosee
numerous cloned models and makes

Optimus
DV-5040 (Vivitar DVR510)

Shinco
DVC-818

Kenko
DVC-306

Mustek
DV 3500
Seems to me this is a new model. I've been careful for the last year to list all Mustek models, yet this one was not in the list.

The proliferation of clones is getting out of hand, and I no longer expect to be able to keep up with the knockoffs.

I'm also wondering if Pentax has abandonned this niche, with no replacement yet for the Optio MX and MX4.

So the 3500 was Aiptek's first hybrid with 640x480 and mp3, rather than the 4000? Or did the 3500 come out after the 4000?

the Mustek 2000

the Mustek 3000

these were the first hybrids
no mp3 player on the 2000, or 3000 neither internal memory these two cameras costed over a few hundred dollars back in 2000 or even 1999 of winter season. then the 3500 was introduced within a few months then the
Mustek dv4000 came out soon after as they changed bosy style/ the dv4500 followed later on as they would not release this till they gota flash in there and that was a year later 2001 aswell as te 660

I would think SGspirit would have remembered this from the old school site :G

even Oldhacer:G

btw did you check out the old site its up and spamming

Two new preliminary(vaporware?) models on the DXG Technology global site, The DVH-572 and the DDV-589. Nither seem to offer any big improvements on existing models. The 589 has something called "Smart Zoom" in addition to digital zoom.

DVH-572
